Stage 1. Market research and analysis

  • Product management approached UX with business market ideas of where they want to focus. The UX team brainstormed and strategized using market research and analytics data to define a potential product.

Stage 2. Concept development and user-centered design

  • Led the conceptualization phase, brainstorming with the design team to generate innovative ideas that align with user needs and project goals. Developed user personas and scenarios to guide the design process and ensure a user-centered approach.

  • Mapped out user flows for key app functionalities. Prioritized simplicity and intuitiveness in the navigation structure to enhance user engagement.

Stage 3. UI design and prototyping

  • Created detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and final visual designs.

  • Developed high-fidelity prototypes that showcased the technology's core features, including a dynamic home feed with customized data, voice commands, and easy-to-navigate user interfaces. Conducted iterative design reviews with the team to refine the prototypes.

Stage 4. Demonstrations and aligning business needs

  • Before handoff for production, prototypes were refined to demonstrate to the business the product to assure business requirements were met.

Stage 5. Final presentation and handoff

  • Wireframes, specifications, and concepts were are handed off to a development team with a specialized UX person for production. I would communicate the user needs, and assist in any further testing or iterations that were needed.

Rovi Corporation won innovation awards year-over-year with their cutting edge technologies and products and obtained a prolific amount of IP in the cable space. The products were well-received at the trade shows and many 3rd party companies signed on for data packages. In 2016, Rovi aquired TiVo corporation, Creating $3 Billion Entertainment Technology Leader
